Welcome to First Grade!

Hi, my name is Mrs. Magyar and I am going to be your first grade teacher! Welcome to our class blog. What is a blog? Well, a blog is a place where we can share what we are learning with family and friends. We will be able to put pictures on here and write about what we are learning. This will be a special place where we will show how much we have grown this year.

If you are looking at this blog because you got my Puppy Postcard, please write a comment on our blog (with mom or dad's help) and tell me a little about yourself. What is your first name? What did you do this summer? What was your favorite thing about kindergarten?

Click on "Comments" below and start typing, it's that easy! Once you click 'Publish Post" I will put your message on the blog and respond to it. Also, click on the arrow below Kitty and she'll tell you a special message. You can view our class website by clicking the link to the right titled: Mrs. Magyar's Class there you will find our curriculum. I also have some of my favorite educational websites linked at the right.

Popsicles at the Playground will be on Wednesday, August 31st from 12:00-2:00. Stop by and say "Hi" if you are in town.

Watch for an email from me in August!

I can't wait to get to know all about you~

  11. Dear Mrs. Magyar,
My name is Zoe! I loved getting your postcard! This summer I learned to ride my bike without training wheels. My family and I went on vacation to visit the Mall of America! It was fun! I like to read and have been working on my bridge book.

I gotta question for you Mrs. Magyar. How much wood would a wood-chuck chuck, if a wood-chuck could chuck wood?

Can't wait to see you soon!
    Zoe

  12. Hi Zoe! How exciting that you learned how to ride your bike this summer. I know you really persevered to learn how to do that. I have always wanted to go to Mall of America; I can't wait to hear all about your trip. Great job on working on your bridge book. That is a perfect indoor activity when it gets too hot outside. As for your question...I'm not sure how much wood a woodchuck would chuck, but I sure hope he doesn't do it in my yard :) Enjoy the rest of your summer, I'll see you in a few weeks~
